Wales Day Trip by Private Coach - Cardiff Bay, Tintern Abbey Village + Chepstow

Details
Join us on a day trip to another beautiful country. We will be travelling by privately hired executive coach to the Southeast region of Wales on Saturday 10th June.
We will be visiting three places in one day. Our first destination will be the historic market and castle town of Chepstow. Our second destination will be the stunning Tintern Abbey Village. Our final destination will be Cardiff Bay, which is often regarded as the finest area in the capital city of Wales. Cardiff Bay is the largest waterfront development in Europe. The organisers of this trip and group are also originally from this area of Wales, so we know it well!
These destinations are further away than our standard day trips. Therefore, we have hired two drivers for the day and an extended length booking on this privately hired coach. This method of organisation vastly increases the time we will have at our destinations, as there are strict regulations on how many hours a single driver can work in one day.
INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF £48:
• Privately-hired, executive return coach travel from London to three locations in Wales (there is a W/C on the coach).
• Fully planned day trip with a detailed itinerary. This will be hosted by two very experienced organisers with 10 years' experience of organising day trips through this social travel group.
• Guided microphone commentary of locations on the coach before we arrive at our destinations.
• Individual concise text guides/booklets of each location that the organisers have researched and written.
• Optional pre-planned group strolls through Chepstow, Cardiff Bay and Tintern Abbey Village, where we will take in the main sights that we will have already detailed in our earlier guided coach commentary and text guides/booklets.
• Two Driver Service and an Extended Length Day Trip.
• Quiz on the coach with prizes.
• Raffle on the coach with prizes.
• PayPal fees.
And of course, there will be our usual optional singalongs :-)
We can only offer this trip to adults aged 18 and over.
An Introduction to Chepstow:
The historic market town of Chepstow in Monmouthshire is situated on the edge of the beautiful Wye Valley. This former port is dominated by its magnificent Norman stone castle, built in 1067, which is strikingly positioned on limestone cliffs overlooking the river. The town centre is lined with a fine collection of Georgian and Victorian buildings. In Chepstow we will be able to walk on the footbridge over the stunning 'S' bend in the River Wye between England and Wales. Therefore, you'll be walking back and forth between two different countries!
Note: All attendees will have striking views of the exterior of the Norman Castle which boasts the oldest castle doors in Europe. However, members can also choose to visit the interior (£8.70), although this is not compulsory as there are many other options including visiting Chepstow Museum, which has free entry.
An Introduction to Tintern Abbey Village:
Tintern Abbey Village is situated five miles north of Chepstow. The centrepiece is the 12th century ruined Gothic Abbey. This is among the most beautiful sights in the UK and lies in the lush, picturesque Wye Valley. It is located in an area of outstanding beauty next to the River Wye, with a backdrop of lush green hills and forests. Tintern Abbey Village is also home to the award-winning Abbey Mill Independent Crafts and Shopping Complex, which also includes a popular cafe and restaurant.
Note: The most beautiful views of Tintern Abbey are freely available from the village. However, while it is not compulsory, attendees will also have the option of visiting the Abbey interior. If you wish to visit the interior, entry fee is £8.70.
An Introduction to Cardiff Bay:
Cardiff Bay is located in the coastal corner of the capital city of Wales. The Bay is a beautiful tourist area, transformed through one of the world's largest regeneration projects. The Bay is now built around a 200-hectare freshwater lake, which is the largest waterfront development in Europe. Cardiff Bay's main commercial centre is the very impressive and modern Mermaid Quay, packed with cafes, shops, restaurants and bars that overlook the huge freshwater lake.

10:30 pm - - Approximate arrival time in London. Please note that the coach will drop us off at Gloucester Road Tube Station.
