Beachside Walk: Late Arvo &Evening Walk. Great views. +icecream/cold drinks Stop

Afternoon-evening walk on a 28C (5pm)-23C (7pm) afternoon/evening
Meet @Corner of Mills St & Herbert St Middle Park/Albert Park*. [Shops side]. Address is 36 Mills St Albert Park (not 42, as may show on map).

This will be One Way Walk. I'm happy to walk back, but will get quite late.
Bring your myki (if driving) as we'll most likely get tram back to Mills St; of course those in St Kilda and adjacent areas can leave us, there.

There's a cafe (cafe by day/bistro by night) near our Meet Point corner, so can grab a cold drink or coffee to enjoy while we walk. (*Mills St is the border between the 2 suburbs).
We'll leave the Meet Point by 15 minutes after event start time, or as soon as all rsvps arrive. But (optional) we can sit & chat for a bit, if wish.

We will walk 5 mins along Mills St to the Beach road (Beaconsfield Pde) & beach side walking paths. We will then walk towards St Kilda.

Depending on how long takes us, to near St kilda, we can maybe walk out along the new St Kilda Pier & watch City Lights, & is something else cool. I've allowed 3 hours, but that's only if we go out on St Kilda Pier, & are out there for awhile.

The walking path is separate from the bike path, so is easy for walking.
Note: do have to cross the bike path, to get to walking path; look both ways first.

Will walk along a beach-side path for awhile then maybe stop at a kiosk cafe. Where we can sit for a little while & have some food, if some wish.
An almost on the beach place is more than a kiosk than as has most items as a cafe does, & there's some outdoor tables adjacent.
We can then continue walking further; or return.

Walk can be a one-way walk to St Kilda Beach/Pier area of 5-6km if all arrive by PT;
OR a return walk to St Kilda West Beach, & back to Middle Park. (3km each way), if some arrive by car.
It's flexible what we do; we can walk less distance & sit & chat more, in between.

**NOTE: I don't know which beachside kiosks or cafes are open after 6:00, but will be one open in along a street opposite the Beach.
If we go to one of those, the walk will finish around or bit after 8:00.
Bring water or cold drink in case don't find a place close-by to the beach, & as it will be still quite warm at 7pm or so.

Open to all ages. (Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult as per Meetup's rules)
We can easily get a tram or bus at anytime if it's too hot.

Finding It & Us:
#12 Tram along Collins St, to Mills St/Carter St tram Stop /Stop 134.
This tram stop is just 1 street / 50 metres past our Meet Point.
The meet point is Diagonally Opposite that (outbound tram stop).
Or #96 Tram along Bourke St, or along Spencer St outside Southern Cross Station, to MSAC tram Stop /Stop 129.
From the MSAC Stop, Walk one street north (towards city) to Mills St,
then 300 metres along Mills to Herbert St.

Parking: Unrestricted parking along East side /Albert Park Lake Park side, along sections of Canterbury Rd, Albert Park/Middle Park.
Some unrestricted parking in side streets next to the school along Mills St
There's some on street 4 hour parking in some streets OFF Mills St;
the area close to the Meet Point appears to be mostly 1.5 & 2 hours limits.

If You Are Late, & traveling to Meet Point on the Route #12 tram, or if Driving, stay on tram or continue driving, to near beach end of Mills St. Get off tram at the Danks St (corner of Mills St) stop; or park near there.
You may be able to catch up; at beach end of Mills St, or beach side.
**I will be in the Albert Park Lake area a little bit before this Meetup, so if need a guide from the MSAC/#96 tram stop to the Meet Point, please post in comments before the day, or at least 2 hours prior, on the day.
If coming from St Kilda or Southern Suburbs, the #12 tram starts from Park St St Kilda, and the #96 tram runs from Acland St & The Esplanade

**If any possible cold, flu, covid symptoms do not attend Meetups.
You may wish to bring a mask to wear inside if a queue where we stop for cool drinks or a snack, or if just to avoid spring/summer hayfever if pollen blown by the sea breeze
