Las session we had some shopping, talking to shopkeepers, dragon riders, and being the victim of an ill thought out shake down. So our band of Harty adventurers have made it to Restenford, befriended a few local outcasts. been the victim af some ne're do wells and generally settled in. They bought some stuff ate reasonable food and discovered that not all NPCs are well meaning souls free of prejudice, xenophobia, and religious intolerance. In fact most Npcs seem a little broken in one fashion or another.
So it was a day of discovery and narrow escapes. They did manage to win a few arm wrestling competitions, buy some fancy clothes and befriend a band of imperial legionaries (Dragon Riders) who have for one reason or another drawn the worst duty station in the empire. An outpost on the far side of the central mountains. Their duty: to keep a weather eye on the goings on and report any potential threat to the interests of the empire back to high command.
After healing up, resting up and dressing up (And inquiring at the temple of Ildavir, goddess of nature, f if there was room for Ulesh, god of peace - there wasn't. Not even if you say please & bring a gift) After all that we decided to check out these stores of a giant fish - took a guys arm off. I heard it was a leg, I heard it ate his whole left side.
That, my friend led to the dragon turtle. Lost a zero level and steam baked much of the party but after a little luck and some creative use of found objects the party had some bragging rites and a really big shell. good times.

If adventuring in a new world forged with an eye to classic adventuring sounds like fun please join us! FWIW - Dungeon Crawl Classics is loosely based on the core mechanics of D&D 3/3.5 but plays much more like the original D&D/BECMI style. Favorite characters may not see the end of the story, many situations will require the GM to make a table side ruling as the book leaves much unsaid. But somehow, despite all this - it just works.

No experience required- rules will be taught and capriciously broken.
