Fred Bay Observatory - Night Sky Tour

Discover the night sky during the free stargazing event at the Fred Bay Observatory at Hisey Park. The observatory features a 16-foot dome housing a nine-inch refracting telescope that enables visitors view all of our solar system's planets as well as deep-space objects such as galaxies, nebulas, clusters, and stars.

Warren County Park District partners with volunteer members of the Warren County Astronomical Society to provide this stargazing activity.

• These monthly programs are usually held rain or “shine.” If weather or atmospheric conditions are not favorable, we usually move the program indoors at Hisey Park. There will be occasions, however, when we cancel events due to weather conditions and availability of our volunteers. Cancellations and schedule changes are announced to the public on our Facebook page, and our GroupMe channel for members.
