This group meets each week for ongoing study and practice of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills.
*We are NOT certified counselors. This group is led by Facilitators who have completed the curriculum.*
SESSION OVERVIEW:
We will begin each session with a review of Skills Cards and Homework.
The 2nd half will be committed to the review of new material.
STUDY GROUP VALUES:
1) Providing and maintaining a safe place to share and encourage one another
2) Growing our Emotional and Interpersonal Skills together
3) Learning by sharing our experiences and listening to others share
4) We respect each other by allowing others to share and saving our feedback until they are finished
5) The facilitators will keep the dialogue and learning focused on the skills and homework
6) We facilitate the group to guide and guard our time together. We want to compassionately and consciously focus our time on our skills, knowledge and learning
TIMELINE:
We run a 24 week schedule. So we will go through ALL 4 modules of DBT approximately every 6 months with breaks over holiday weeks.
January 24th will be our Kick off, Orientation and the beginning of Mindfulness.
