About us
Washington DC ACM SIGGRAPH is a non-profit, professional computer graphics organization serving the Washington metropolitan area. Our mission is to foster the synthesis of art and technology while promoting and educating the computer graphics and interactive media community through the exchange of printed and electronic information and innovative ideas. We are a volunteer organization that relies on its members to provide unique resources for the benefit of those interested in the field of computer graphics and interactive media and techniques.
Our volunteers present a variety of meetings, panel discussions, site visits, conferences, workshops and publications for our members. We welcome individuals representing such diverse digital communities as:
•Fine and applied arts
•Research and development
•Education
•Electronic production

(Online) Affinity to Blender and Back Again
·OnlineOnlineThe Washington DC Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH is proud to present Christof Van Niekirk (aka Motion Bones) and our very own Chapter Chair Mark Jette for an evening of Affinity and Blender fun. Mark will be demonstrating features from the latest Affinity update to include the new vector shape blend tool as well as 3D object import. Christof will be demonstrating how assets from Affinity can be used in Blender as well as how assets from Blender can be exported for use in Affinity.

Motion Bones is a creative freelance artist who produces award-winning animation, motion graphics and interactive user experiences for clients in fields of advertising, science & data visualization, film, gaming, architecture/engineering, product design, and live events. From impactful 5 second logo animations to 5 minute explainer videos or interactive science/data in augmented and virtual realities - Motion Bones makes projects move intelligently & creatively.
