(Online) MCARE, AI Healthcare in Space and on Earth
Details
The Washington DC Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH is proud to present MCARE project director Robin Rowe. Professor Rowe will be discussing MCARE which was recently presented at Spacecom, the space travel conference in Orlando.
MCARE is the Star Trek holodeck for doctors, as implemented in a realistic 3D first-person game in the genre of Call of Duty. Instead of killing enemy combatants, MCARE player-doctors gain points for saving the lives of patients. Using real-world NHS patient treatment statistics, MCARE models patient outcomes based on the consequences of life-and-death decisions made by hospital staff.
MCARE is a learning game and a doctor telepresence system. Any doctor anywhere will be able to consult by accessing MCARE digital twins of all 52,000 hospitals in the world. MCARE was initially developed with a $1 million grant from Meta Facebook Reality Labs and currently under development by the AI research institute Fountain Abode. MCARE will be launching at scale in the $16 trillion healthcare market to transform telemedicine, clinical trials, doctor training and hospital logistics globally. MCARE will also launch as a fun video game.
The meeting will be hosted on the Zoom platform. A link to the meeting will be provided 5 minutes prior to the presentation to all those who have responded to the announcement on our MeetUp.
