Annual 3D Charity Shoot

***THIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO MEMBERS WHO HAVE THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT***

Hey Guys! Planning well ahead this year - our annual charity 3D shoot the benefits Veterans through NPLB Outdoors (www.NPLBoutdoors.org). Here are the details:

-What is a 3D? A 3D competition is made up of 30 3D foam animal targets that are dispersed through an outdoor range. We will hike from one to the next and you will get one shot at each target.

-Arrive at the Heart Of Maryland Bowhunters Club (about an hour away from the DMV) around 8am to register and practice. Then start the competition around 8:30am.

-Duration - this competition normally takes 3-4 hours for us to complete

-Fee - the $20 fee for the competition should be brought in CASH and all proceeds will go to the charity.

-Things you need to bring/wear:

> > It will be very hot, but we recommend wearing long, thin pants if you don't want to get scratched hiking through the woods. Also, wear hiking boots and your DC archery club shirt.
> > Snacks and lots of water
> > binoculars if you have them
> > your crappiest arrows. You will lose a few, don't bring arrows you will cry over!
> > pro-tip - rub the bottom half of your arrows with a bar of soap or arrow lube so that they are easier to retrieve out of the foam animals (do not cover the entire arrow!)
