What we’re about

Join the fun, relaxed and informative explorations and walks in the city of Washington, DC . The walks are generally fast and strenuous. Participants can join and drop out of the walk at anytime*.* To be a member of this group your profile picture must be of a person, and that picture should resemble you. Set your profile picture specifically for this group here.

This is a group for anyone who is interested in exploring the city (when and where possible) of Washington, DC while walking. The walks are usually more than 8 miles (12.9 km), and several hours long, but of course there is absolutely no obligation to finish the entire walks. The walks always start and finish at metro stations, so there's no need for you to drive. However, the starting point may not be the same as the end point.

The walks are predominantly focused on enjoying the city of Washington, DC, its history, diverse architecture, street art, statues, gardens, parks, cafes, distilleries, breweries, beer gardens, brew pubs, bookstores, bantering, and enjoying our socializing. Exercising is an added benefit :-). Checkout the photos from our walks http://goo.gl/VntEhr and http://dccityexplorers.org/photos
