Join the DC Crypto Club’s interactive “Secure Your Crypto” cybersecurity workshop and learn how to protect your investments and personal data. We'll be talking about private keys, wallets, 2FA, password managers and protecting yourself from malware and keyloggers. During the event we will have breakout sessions lead by the panelists focused on helping the attendees with their security pain points. So please bring your laptops and notebooks.

Presenter:

Olayinka Odeniran is the Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President for a global corporate governance firm, and a cybersecurity specialist with background in management and policy. She has close to 20 years of experience in the financial industry and security regulations. She brings her 14 years of experience as a Compliance Officer to help enterprise and individuals understand and strengthen their cybersecurity landscape. Ms. Olayinka is also a blockchain and cryptocurrency enthusiasts. She currently serves as member and administrator of Women in Blockchain International Group. She also serves as a content manager and writer for MissBlockchain.tech. Ms. Olayinka completes her M.S. in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from University of Maryland University College in June 2018, and has her B.S in English from Boston University. https://www.linkedin.com/in/olayinkaodeniran/

Panelists:

Dr. Corey Petty started his blockchain focused research in late 2012 during his Ph.D. candidacy in computational chemical physics from Texas Tech University. Shortly after finishing his degree, he left acadamia to continue pursuing his passion in blockchain technology. He co-founded and manages The Bitcoin Podcast Network where he co-hosts on the flagship show as well as others. During the day he works as a Blockchain Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton where he focuses on the intersection of cybersecurity and blockchain technology.

Andrew Morris is the founder of GreyNoise Intelligence, a DC-based cyber security company. Andrew has been a cryptocurrency and blockchain enthusiast since 2012, having spoken at numerous conferences around the United States on cryptocurrency-related research topics. In 2015, Andrew developed a prototype search engine for the Bitcoin blockchain. Prior to founding GreyNoise, Andrew worked on the research team at Endgame, a leading endpoint security company.
John Carthern is a cyber security professional specializing in rapid R&D with iOT technology. John wears many hats in the blockchain space as a trader, consultant and a cryptocurrency miner. Currently John manages mining projects consisting of six figures worth of ASICS & GPUs.
