Weds C&O Towpath Ride to Great Falls and back

This ride will start and end underneath the Key Bridge at the Capital Crescent Trail Trailhead. There's street parking on K St NW below the Whitehurst Freeway, as you approach the Key Bridge.

We'll leave promptly at 6pm, so please arrive a little early and be ready to roll at 6.

The pace will be about 11-12mph, and the turnaround point is the visitor's center at Great Falls / Lock 20 where there are bathrooms and water refill. The route is relatively flat, but you have to pay attention to the trail at this speed.

You will want a bike with at least 28mm tires as the towpath is not paved. This is the perfect time to haul out that new Gravel Bike.

Afterwards, I'll stop at the Berliner a couple blocks down on K Street for a cold draft beer and anyone is welcome to join me.
