What we’re about
Like a book club, but for documentary films!
Who we are:
Welcome to the DC Docs Meetup Group, where we screen feature length documentary films and then meet up to talk about them. I started this group as a way to share my love of documentaries with other folks in the DMV area. This is an independent group with no association to any business or organization - just friends hanging out who love docs!
How it works:
Every month(ish) we'll pick a documentary to screen at home before the event, and then meet up IRL to talk about it. Everything from the film's themes, connections to current events, and the creative choices will be on the agenda. There are no dues or fees to join, and we'll do our best to pick a film that is widely available to rent for free, or on a popular streaming service.
Who should join:
People who love documentary films (or even just want to learn more about them), and want to meet other doc-lovers, and discuss films in a group setting.
