How to Write "Second-Screen" Apps Using Android 4.2 and the Presentation Concept

Details
Popular Android author/trainer/speaker Mark Murphy will be presenting on writing ‘Second-Screen’ Apps using the latest Android SDK.
Second screen, according to Wikipedia, is a term that refers to an additional electronic device (e.g. tablet, smartphone) that allows a television audience to interact with the content they are consuming, such as TV shows, movies, music, or video games.
Android has mirrored the contents of the screen via HDMI since Android 3.0, and on select devices before that. Android 4.2 added the capability for developers to present their own content on this "second screen", replacing the normal mirroring. In this presentation, we will see how developers can create Presentation objects controlling what is displayed on the second screen, how to detect if and when a second screen exists, and how to integrate this into a fragment-based UI strategy.
To get the most out of this presentation, attendees should have basic Android application development experience.
