Hi Everybody!

We are hosting another Networking Happy Hour!!!

Students, young professionals, job seekers, recruiters, come join us for a night of drinking, meeting new people, making friends, and fun.

Come out and bring your friends, bring your colleagues, bring your resumes.

Event Details:

The goal of this event is to connect young working professionals in various industries with job seekers. Like all of our events the format is very casual, the idea is to make friends rather than being a high pressure job fair. Several of our young professionals are willing to look at and edit resumes. If you need resume help it’s a great opportunity for you.

Note from the Host:

When I was in college and looking for a job, I always found the traditional career fairs to be very frustrating. My process was: go to each recruiter tent, give them your resume, make small talk, ask a couple of “insightful” questions, get their business card, follow up later, rinse and repeat. All of this just produce a pile of business cards and not any closer to getting a job. Looking back, it seems so naive of me to expect that someone I met for five minutes would give me a referral. What would have been better is if I had spent my time genuinely connecting with one or two people and becoming their friend. That is my hope for this event is that we made it a very casual event and we all go in with the mindset of making one or two friends, that will be more productive than collecting business cards at a career fair.
