MEETINGS

  • The purpose of this session will be to review the work submitted by members during the previous meeting.
  • We will also recap / further discuss the DC Metro - Black Writers' Critique Group's principles and practices for anyone who missed our previous MeetUp.
  • Prior to offering their review of submitted material, participants may be asked to introduce themselves briefly, (but, once again, can opt to type their introduction in the the Zoom chat) - INTROVERTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!
  • Participants are encouraged to bring an original piece (they have either completed, or are currently working on), that they would like to submit to the group for critique.
  • This group will meet regularly every first and third Friday of the month at 7:30 PM EST. Individual meetings may be moved, but we will try to conform to this regular schedule.
  • A typical meeting will be for a duration of 60 to 90 minutes (max).
  • All meetings take place via the Zoom platform. A Group manager will send members a link to the virtual events prior to the scheduled meetings.
