Spiritual Growth Workshop: Breaking Limiting Beliefs [ONLINE EVENT]

I (Benjy) am a facilitator for this interactive online event featuring spiritual teacher Shawn Nevins, which will be hosted by the TAT Foundation.

I like Shawn because he offers practical advice -- and also he has the chutzpah to publicly rate spiritual teachers on a 1 to 5 star scale on his website :) I like this quote of Shawn: "I am not outstanding in any quality. Yet, I attained a spiritual realization, so there is hope for others. In examining my decade of seeking, I think the qualities of persistence and self-honesty proved key."

The workshop: Shawn will lead us through exercises he's developed for his soon-to-be published workbook for spiritual seekers. The goal of the exercises in his workbook are to catalyze spiritual realization by shaking core beliefs. I was at a retreat last year where Shawn led the group in one of the exercises, and I thought it was great.

BIO: Shawn Nevins “fell onto the spiritual path in 1990,” had an enlightenment experience in 1999, and since then has enjoyed making films, writing, and working with the TAT Foundation. He tells his story in his book Subtraction: The Simple Math of Enlightenment. Shawn is the host of the Journals of Spiritual Discovery podcast.

His creative endeavors include the film Closer Than Close — an acclaimed documentary on Self-realization. He is also the author of The Celibate Seeker, Images of Essence, Hydroglyphics: Reflections on the Sacred, and co-wrote Passages: An Introduction and Commentary on Richard Rose’s Albigen System.

This is a recent talk on Youtube that Shawn gave to the Center for Sacred Sciences called “Letters of Transmission“. Shawn and his wife live in the San Francisco Bay area.
