DC Toastmasters Club - Public Speaking

Please join us at our regular Toastmaster meetup.
We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
A regular meeting involves:

• three speeches prepared prior to the meeting
• a 15 minute segment called 'Table Topics' where we practice impromptu speaking
• evaluations that provide helpful feedback and suggestions to all speakers

You will learn so much just by coming and listening, and getting involved to whatever level you feel comfortable. Most members prefer to start by watching and listening at their first few events.
We have dinner as part of our meeting. The dinner costs $12 to $35 depending on your choice. Please let us know beforehand if you have special dietary requirements.
Our venue is the historic United Service Club Queensland, 183 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill. There is a dress code! The United Service Club offers free on-site parking via their Upper Edward Street entrance. Also, the venue is a short walk from Central Railway Station and the BCC Bus services available in the CBD.
We will kick off at 6:30 and recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before to allow for introductions and in case you have any questions. If you'd like to join us for drinks prior please arrive at 6:00pm.
