[This is joint event with DCATS.]

The LGBT community along with Georgette's family, will be coming together, to hold a Celebration of Life, for Georgette at one of her favorite places: Freddie’s Beach Bar in Arlington VA. This event will encompass the life and loves of Georgette.

The activities for the evening have not been finalized. However, here are a few details available so far. We will have Georgette's family attending. During the evening, we will be setting aside time for anyone who can reflect and give their thoughts on Georgette.

There will be a Drag Show. (For those who did not know Georgette was a big part of the Imperial Court, which is big in the Drag Community.) We will also be doing Karaoke later in the evening.

We are asking everyone attending to please be as generous as possible. Georgette's family is still incurring costs, taking care of her services and estate. We will be doing things throughout the evening to help support and donate to the family.

Important note: Friends and family of Georgette have organized this event. They have asked both DCATS and The DC Area Trans Ladies group to assist with this evening. Both groups are working together to support event. We hope you will attend and, by doing so, show Georgette's family how much she meant to us as well as contribute positive energy to the entire community.

Important note #2. We are asking everyone who will be attending to wear something black this evening. NO, the black is no to mourn her loss. It is to honor her. We all know Georgette loved her black/ goth style in everything she wore and did. We recognize her style and contributions to our community by asking everyone to wear something black that would reflect her style and personality.

Important note #3. Please RSVP, either or with the DC Regional Trans group. This will allow us to let Freddie's know how many ladies from our community will be attending. We will NOT be setting aside table for our group. We want ladies to show up and sit with whomever is next to them. Georgette never sat in one spot. She would get up, walk around, and talk with everyone; no matter whether they were gay, straight, or somewhere in-between.

We want everyone to have her spirt this evening and mingle and get to know someone you did not know before. That would make Georgette proud.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the host. Please refer to the original DCATS event posting at Georgette's Celebration of Life. , Sun, Nov 30, 2025, 3:00 PM | Meetup
