Are you ready for Geargasm 2018? DC UL Backpacking’s Geargasm is designed for backpackers of all levels, giving you a chance to check out the ultralight (UL) gear you’ve been eyeing and to participate in skill sessions and talks to enhance your backpacking knowledge. This is the only event in the Mid-Atlantic that has a wide assortment of UL backpacking on display—don’t miss out!

CAMPING
The main action of events is during the day on Saturday, June 23. For those who wish stay overnight, on site camping is available Friday and Saturday nights. You may arrive any time after 5 p.m. on Friday if you are camping. There is no running water so plan to bring water with you or to bring a way to treat the water from Passage Creek. If you plan to camp, please let us know which night(s) you plan to stay (Friday, Saturday, or both).

DIRECTIONS
From 66, take Exit 6 (Front Royal). Take SR 340/522 South for 1.3 miles until you come to a stoplight. Turn right onto VA 55 west and continue for 5 miles to the small community of Waterlick. Turn left onto SR 678. The entrance to the Elizabeth Furnace Group Campground will be on your left in about 3.5 miles.
