LM: Waterfall Mountain and Duncan Knob (17m)

Greetings, everyone! Jen and I are going to lead a trip this coming weekend and hopefully take advantage of some fall weather.
This is a DC UL oldie but goodie. We'll meet up at Vienna North at 9am, drive to where 211 meets the southern end of the North Massanutten, and park. From there, we'll walk in, climb Waterfall Mountain, amble along the ridgeline to Jawbone's Gap, then descend and then climb for Peach Orchard Gap, where we'll camp. We'll scramble to the top of Duncan Knob for sunset views. The next morning, we'll call an audible about the way out (the more strenuous option involving Stricklers Knob and a little more scrambling). Either way, we'll be out fairly early, hit the pub, then home.
This about 17 miles and generally suitable for people new to the group. That said, it's not super easy. Climbing up Waterfall with your gear is a rite of initiation for DCUL and of course the Massanuttens are always rocky and fractured. But this is scenic trip.
Also, 10/3 is my birthday. I will be bringing whiskey four our campsite.
It may rain.
