Publishing Options 101

Today more than ever, the publishing landscape has changed and savvy authors need to be informed on their options and the pros and cons of each. What was true in the past, doesn't hold true now, so even if you've attended this seminar by me in the past, there will be plenty of updates. In this two-hour session I'll spend one hour on presentation and the second hour on Q&A. Topics to include:

• The Four Paths to Publishing and advantages/disadvantages to each
• Keeping your options open - don't sign a contract that boxes you in
• Amazon and exclusivity - pros and cons

About me: I'm Robin Sullivan, and have been involved with publishing since 2007. I've really done it all: self-published, owned a small press, negotiated multiple big-five contracts, negotiated subsidiary rights and foreign language sales, as well as managed multiple agent relationships. Authors who I've published have earned six-figure pay checks and my husband (who I act as business manager for) has sold nearly 750,000 books in the English language and has more than 20 foreign language contracts.
