Peru's Choquequirao to Machu Picchu Trek
Machu Picchu is the highlight of any trek in the Andes mountain region of Peru. But avoiding the crowd and experiencing a more remote trail that will take you to less visited ruins is simply a must! Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trail is fast becoming more popular as an alternative to the Inca Trail. It's wild, raw, challenging and without the hassles of obtaining permits. It's been deemed as one of the best destinations in 2017 by Lonely Planet. The trek allows you to camp in the wilderness, soak in the hot spring of Aguas Caliente, visit Machu Picchu, and do the climb up Huayna Picchu for an incredible bird's eye view of the ruins. You also spend time walking in the old part of Lima, the beautiful town of Cusco and the Sacred Valley. ITINERARY DAY 1 Arrive in Lima DAY 2 Lima City Tour DAY 3 Fly out to Cusco.
