Horseback Ride, Picnic, & Wine Tasting

Join us for one of our favorite events! Enjoy the great weather and great outdoors by joining us for trail horseback riding and picnic in the Blue Ridge Foothills.

Short Itinerary:
11:30am - Guests Arrive at Marriott Ranch House
12:00pm-1:30pm -90 Minute Guided Trail Ride
1:45pm-2:15pm -Picnic Lunch
2:15pm-3:00pm - Desert Rose Wine Tasting

LUNCH: Enjoy a very nice picnic lunch. Lunch includes 2 grilled meats (vegetarian option as well), mixed green salad, 2 side dishes, dessert, sodas, and bottled water. (For a group 12 or less - the lunch may be changed to a box lunch.)

HORSEBACK RIDING TIME: Get geared up, grab a horse, and head out for an enjoyable 90 minute trail ride.

WINERY: After all that hard work head over for a wine tasting at a local winery (included).

PRICE: $90/PP for Horseback Riding & Lunch. (Please note: lunch and winery is included and cannot be separated out of package cost.).

CARPOOL: Don’t forget if you want a ride or are willing to offer a ride – save money, and make friends by just posting a message!!

DIRECTIONS: Barn Location: 540-364-3741

From Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia: Take Route 66 west approximately 40 miles to exit 27 (the second Marshall exit). Turn left at stop sign, crossing over Route 66. Make an immediate right on Route 647. Go 4 miles and turn right on Route 635 and proceed 7.6 miles to the main entrance of the ranch only for LUNCH...For Now. Keep Going to the BARN For Trail Riding continue 1.5 miles past Marriot Ranch on Route 635 and turn right onto Route 726. The Trail Ride Barn is 1.5 miles on the right. Phone if you get lost. After Horseback Ride: Backtrack, Turn left on Route 726, turn left on Route 635. Marriot Ranch will be on Right the road out.

After Lunch: Make a Left out of Marriott Ranch on Route 635.. Drive a few Miles and Desert Rose Winery will be on Right.
