With film screenings, panel discussions, and networking, the 9th Annual Wheaton Film Festival is a great event to learn about the entertainment industry and to watch some amazing short films. Tickets are required to attend. Use code “WFF9ann” or the following for 25% off on tickets.

The Festival takes place in-person on November 11, 2023 in the Ballroom of Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad from 1:30pm to 9:15pm. The address is 2400 Arcola Avenue, Second Floor Ballroom, use side dedicated entrance, Silver Spring, MD, 20902. Free parking is available at the Rescue Squad and across the street at the Wheaton library branch.

Panel Discussions May Include:
Future of Filmmaking - a discussion on AI, virtual reality, and other technological advances that affect filmmaking, how to adapt, and what we may expect for the future of filmmaking.
Filmmaking Process (including Sound Recording) - a discussion of the process of filmmaking including pre-production, image capture, and editing. With special coverage on how to best record audio.
Entertainment Law 101 - an overview of key legal concepts for creative professionals including option agreements, copyright, trademark, work for hire agreements, and more.
