New Meetup: Abraham Lincoln: An Extraordinary Life (and Other Exhibits)

From: Ed R.
Sent on: Friday, December 10, 2010, 5:27 PM
Announcing a new Meetup for DC Metro Hikers and History Buffs!

What: Abraham Lincoln: An Extraordinary Life (and Other Exhibits)

When: Sunday, January 9,[masked]:30 AM

Where:
Smithsonian National Museum of American History
14th Street and Constitution Ave NW
Washington, DC 20001

Get Out of the Cold and Into the American History Museum

Join us to see the Smithsonian National Museum of American History?s special exhibit, Abraham Lincoln: An Extraordinary Life, part of the Smithsonian-wide celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Lincoln?s birth.

When we?re done with the Lincoln exhibit, we can wander around the museum, enjoying some of the other exhibits and artifacts.

If there is interest, we?ll head somewhere nearby for a post-museum-crawl lunch.

(And if it turns out to be one of those unseasonably warm taste-of-spring days, we might ditch the museum after the Lincoln exhibit and hike the monuments on the National Mall. But don?t count on that; this is Washington in the dead of winter, after all.)

Hope to see you there!

Best.

Ed R.
