You'll be invited to attend fabulous lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning or queer (LGBTQ) professional networking social events at gay-friendly lounges in Washington, DC. Our members are hard-working people from a variety of disciplines such as military, government, banking, law, medicine, new media, interior or fashion design and communications. We all share the same desire to enjoy the company of like-minded professionals in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Our group is welcoming and inclusive, respectful of everyone under the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning or queer (LGBTQ) rainbow and straight allies.
Build a stronger base of professional contacts. Share ideas and job possibilities, tap expertise, or meet potential clients or business partners. Benefit by making new connections and honing ideas. There are no membership dues to be a part of it. Nor are there referral expectations like BNI's. Just show up, meet new people, and have fun!
Founded by TJ Flavell, this group sets an exciting new paradigm. Established in summer 2014. it includes LGBTQ+ in the greater Washington, DC area. It's a new day, a new era, and this facilitates valuable connections for personal, professional, and business success.
You may join this cosmopolitan group regardless of where you reside, be it NoVA, DC, or Maryland, or wherever, you are welcome. Our events are the rage!

This is a don't miss private tour! Located just off Dupont Circle, the 1893 Whittemore House mansion houses The Woman’s National Democratic Club (WNDC) and hosts private events. This tour is free of charge.
The WNDC Museum is housed in a landmark 19th-century residence, originally built for Sarah Adams Whittemore, an opera singer and member of the distinguished Adams family of Massachusetts.
The building, designed by Harvey Page, is informally called The Whittemore House.
Significant interior features include the Arts and Crafts foyer and stairwell and an elaborate plaster ceiling in the former music room, now the Hamlin Room.
In addition to its architecture, The Whittemore House contains a rich permanent collection of fine art and furniture. The WNDC Ballroom and art galleries feature rotating exhibitions from Washington-area artists.

(Note: Preceding the tour is an optional Get Out the Vote letter/postcard campaign starting at 6 p.m. hosted by WDNC to swing states that you may opt to attend. Ask for David Hoffman when you arrive. Pizza will be served at that!)

When you arrive, go out the station, walk towards your left to 18th Street and then veer right and walk under the Route 1 overpass to Eads St. Turn left and walk to 23rd Street. Turn right. Freddie's is up 23rd Street just a block. Just look for the rainbow flags on the right side of the street!

The Book Club, hosted by EQUALITY NoVa, is yet another opportunity to engage in a fun and rewarding activity. We meet monthly, usually on the third Thursday of each month, at Federico’s for a lively discussion of that month’s selected book. We don’t discriminate when it comes to genre, we read – from classic literature to best selling novels to biographies to histories to gay fiction!
EQUALITY NoVa serves Northern Virginia's LGBTQ+ and Allies and is a strong beacon for equality.
