Washington, DC Philosophy Meetup

This meetup group delves into the intersections between philosophy, political economy, and political science. We are focused on 19th century and 20th/21st century philosophers, including primarily Karl Marx, Max Weber, Michel Foucault, Ulrich Beck, Karl Polanyi, Ulrich Beck, Pierre Bourdieu, Anthony Giddens, and Juergen Habermas. The goal of this group is to pursue close readings of these philosophers' works to gain a deeper understanding of their analyses of contemporary society, culture, science and economy.
