Join DC Python, Giant Oak, and hatch IT for an evening of food, networking, and Python.

Brian Spinder, VP of Engineering at Giant Oak, will present "Model Serving with AWS and Lambda."

The presentation will cover lessons learned from developing and serving models with AWS and Lambda. It will start with a brief introduction to Giant Oak and an overview of architecture and operational challenges, followed by an introduction to modeling development and Python Lambda deployments. It will end with an overview of serving Sci-Kit models with AWS Lambda and Apache, covering topics like cost savings, scalable system design for batch-based nature, serving models via apache, resource constraints, and more.

Brian is VP of Engineering at Giant Oak. He oversees all technical operations for innovation, delivery and roll-out of products for Giant Oak’s flagship search and screening platform, Giant Oak Search Technology, as well as new, upcoming technologies.
