The Sense of Self in Nature - at Golden Gate SP

Details

We'll explore the sense of self and how we lose our worries, egos and anxieties when contemplating nature. At what point do we forget about ourselves and experience true peace and joy?

This is a 6 mile loop and is considered "strenuous" by the Golden Gate state park guide. There is one big steep climb and descent about half into the hike. We'll be doing the Mountain Lion Trail, starting at Bridge Creek with the Burro Trail. We'll summit at the Windy Peak Overlook and head back down on the Burro Trail to the parking area. For more information about this trail, please see: http://www.parks.state.co.us/Parks/goldengatecanyon/Trails/Pages/GoldenGateCanyonTrails.aspx

Mostly silent hike with a discussion and break mid-way through.
