Where Dog Sitting Meets Tech: a Veterinarian's Domain for Collaborative Modeling

Details

Hi, my animal lover (maybe also pet owner) Domain-driven Design enthusiast friends 👋👋 I have good news for you! On this meetup we are going to have a very special guest at the meetup:
Dr. Pálma Piller is a veterinarian and the founder of PetWiseCare (a pet sitting platform). During her time at university, many people asked her to take care of their pets and this inspired Pálma to create a dog sitter training program, an examination system, and a secure platform where pet owners and reliable sitters can connect. This is how PetWiseCare was born. Pálma's passion as well as the platform's goal is to make pet owners' lives easier and to ensure that pets receive the same loving care in the owners' absence that they would provide themselves.

I think many of you've guessed already that besides having a very interesting topic and domain at our meetup we are also going to model the PetWiseCare domain. 😊
This will be a great opportunity for us to collaboratively model a pretty much unique domain (known and unknown at the same time, right? 😊 ) and also to learn about the challenges in this industry and if you are so lucky to be a pet owner yourself, you can even get ideas in this field 😊

And it never hurts to practice Event Storming a little, right? Especially if you are new to this technique, and want to learn about that, I would definitely recommend to come to this event.

Agenda:
17:45-18:00: arriving
18:00: welcome, kick off, introduction
18:15: learning about the very basics of Event Storming / collaborative modeling
18:30: Dr. Palma Piller tells us about PetWiseCare (in a nutshell for first)
- in parallel we are modeling the domain
19:15: opportunities, hot spots
19:30-20:00: discussions, networking
