About Diana Montalion:
Diana is the author of the upcoming O'Reilly book, Learning Systems Thinking: Essential Nonlinear Skills & Practices for Software Professionals. She also teaches the course Writing as Thinking, which includes an ebook. As a technologist, shas 18+ years experience engineering and architecting software systems for organizations including Stanford, The Gates Foundation, Memorial Sloan Kettering and Teach For All. She has served as Principal Systems Architect for The Economist and The Wikimedia Foundation. Her company, Mentrix, publishes courses and learning materials for aspiring nonlinear thinkers and builds modern software systems for diverse clients. Diana lives in the Hudson Valley (New York, USA) with three dogs, one cat and nine chickens.

About Nick Tune:
Principal Consultant at Empathy Software, Author of Architecture Modernization published by Manning.
Nick works with product and technology leaders to map strategy, model domains, design, architecture and build continuous delivery teams while helping to deliver successful business outcomes. He is the author of Architecture Modernization (Manning), and Principles and Practices of Domain-Driven Design (Wrox).

Indu enjoys designing distributed systems using event-driven architecture style and domain-driven design principles. She has over 15 years of software development experience working with various industries like healthcare, finance, biotech, and emergency services. She is currently a Principal Engineer at the New York Times. She is passionate about diversity and inclusiveness in the tech industry.

About Ryan Shriver:
Ryan Shriver is the Chief Technology Officer of SingleStone, a tech consulting firm based in Richmond, Virginia that takes a human-centered approach to problem solving. At SingleStone, he leads the design and engineering teams working on architecture modernizations with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100. Shriver also teaches Human-Centered Design at VCU’s School of the Arts, where he helps graphic design students apply Design Thinking and Agile practices to solve real-world problems.

About Elizabeth Ayer:
Elizabeth is a Product Consultant with 18F and an Associate Principal at Conflux, the fast flow consultancy. Over the past 15 years, she has held product and portfolio leadership roles in both private and public sectors, most recently working on procurement strategy for public benefits systems. She remains passionate about making systems more humane, sustainable, and intentional.
