Hello everybody,

we are looking forward to start the one and only year 2020 with DDD Vienna :-) And to start with something really cool we welcome a special guest from Budapest: Zsófia Herendi (https://twitter.com/ZHerendi), well known DDD community member, conference speaker and meetup enthusiast herself will join us and introduce us to the ideas of business model canvas and using ideation techniques to innovate on the business model.

Let’s bring something new to the market (business models and beyond)

Finding bounded contexts doesn’t start by coding. It starts by understanding the business domain. If you are not aware what the business at your company does how could you deliver anything useful for them? You need to understand your organisation’s business model and strategy first in order to be able to contribute to it. Also, you can’t optimise the architecture if you don’t know the business model.

In this session we are going to explore business models by using the very powerful Business Model Canvas technique. Then we are going to look at the business model with our innovative eye and see how we can innovate and hack it and so bring something completely new to the market. The session will also show you tips and hints how you can come up with some innovative ideas for your business.

Zsófia is a Product Manager who has spent more than 14 years bringing developers and business people together, 10+ years working on different teams and 6+ years working in an agile environment. She is a skilled modeler with a passion for diagramming and an addiction to optimizing flow.
