How can we improve remote collaborative modeling?
Details
Hi everyone,
due to the COVID-19 restrictions, and because we thought that our meetups wouldn't feel real without physically getting together, it's been a while since our last event. In the meantime, we've however been inspired by online sessions such as those held by the DDD London community and are thus planning a remote DDD Vienna session. The topic this time (and this is courtesy of DDD London, too): how can we improve remote collaborative modeling?
In this session, which is going to be held via Zoom, we're going to try out the online modeling tool Miro and use it to perform a joint brainstorming exercise on how we can improve remote collaborative modeling. We'll start with a very short introduction, then do some Miro-aided brainstorming in breakout groups and plenary sessions, and finally wrap up our experiences in plenum again. (We'll organize the license for the tool, so you don't need one to participate.)
While not a classical DDD Vienna get-together, this might be an interesting exercise in remote collaboration by itself. Which, it seems, has been getting quite important in recent times.
As always - thank you, jumio, trigo, and willhaben, for sponsoring DDD Vienna on an ongoing basis! And thank you, Nick Tune and the whole DDD London organizer team, for letting us use your idea!
Best regards, and looking forward to seeing you all again,
Fabian, Gottfried, Andy, Angela, Christoph, Daniel, Hans, and Martin
