Optimizing for Flow & Evolutionary Design

Details

🤝 Domain-Driven Design Barcelona and N26 are very happy to invite you to an event where we’ll explore strategies to improve software delivery by optimizing flow efficiency and defining clear architectural boundaries.

At N26 we embrace techniques from Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Extreme Programming (XP) as powerful tools for effective software delivery.

📣 Registration
You have to register through the N26 Meetup event. Also note that photographs may be taken at the event. If you have any concerns about this, don't hesitate to get in touch.

🚀 Event description
Talk: The Efficiency Paradox: How being less busy can deliver more value by Ekaitz Hernandez
Have you felt that features drag on for months and that you’re always busy—multitasking multiple tickets, tickets getting blocked during weeks, and waiting for code reviews that never seem to get completed?
In this talk, we will explore the root causes of many of these problems and the origins of several software engineering practices developed over the last 20 years, such as XP, Agile, Team Topologies, and DevOps, which focus on optimizing for flow efficiency rather than resource efficiency.

Talk: Designing architecture with EventStorming and Bounded Contexts by Fabrizio Di Napoli
Are you wrestling with a complex system and struggling to define its boundaries? Do you dread the thought of a costly and disruptive rearchitecture? You're not alone!
Building software with clearly defined subsystems is challenging, but essential.
In this session, we'll explore how EventStorming can be your secret weapon for finding those crucial boundaries.
Join me as we uncover how to leverage this collaborative technique to avoid architectural missteps and pave the way for a more sustainable and adaptable system. Let's make architecture less of a headache and more of a joy!
