We came up with a plan!

Here is what is going to happen:

First of all: there will be beer, soft drinks and snacks.

As for mental food, here it the outline as for today:

  1. Hello and welcome (Ben from Blinkist (https://www.blinkist.com/))

  2. Tools: How to interview your remote guests and make it sound great (workshop led by Borja from TapeWrite)

In this workshop Borja will perform a demo of Zencastr (https://zencastr.com/) and TapeWrite (https://tapewrite.com/)by interviewing a remote guest live and creating a podcast on TapeWrite on the spot.

  1. Guest talks of 5 min

3.1) The End of Small Talk- Pro tips from an interviewing amateur (by Caleb Screpnek )

3.2.) Podcasting for a B2B business (by Ed Shelley)

Ed spent the last 18 months building an audience from scratch for ChartMogul, a B2B subscription analytics platform. A big part of his strategy has involved the audio format, specifically podcasts, to tell the stories of businesses across the world.

  1. Crowdsourcing or Advertising? An open interactive discussion about podcast monetisation (led by Kasia & Gabor from TapeWrite (http://tapewrite.com/))

Everybody talks about it but nobody really nailed it - an easy solution for rewarding hard work that goes into creating a quality audio is still missing on the market. Many podcasters are forced to shut down as they can’t afford to invest more time and effort in podcasts production despite having developed a loyal yet relatively small audience. That sucks for both creators and the listeners who would often like to support the publishers whose work the value so much.

But how to monetise your audio without being forced to generate hundreds of thousands of clicks in order to attract advertisers or without ending up closed in an app? Crowdsourcing proved effective in many creative fields and it’s time to look for ways to make it work for audio. We would like to showcase possible solutions to the problem and kick-off a discussion about the needs of publishers and listeners and the challenges of finding a solution that will satisfy both.

  1. Guest talks of 5 min

5.1.) Go live! Getting your podcast out of your bedroom (by Joel from Radio Spaetkauf)

5.2.) Podcasting To Prototype Startups (by Jim Ralley)

Jim will tell us how he used the creation of 3 different podcast series to test and launch 3 different businesses.

  1. Open mic

Your chance to pitch whatever awesome thing you are doing and want to share with others. Everybody interested will have 1 minute for pitching their podcast, other meetups, call for guest or co-workers or anything else they would like to share with the crowd. We encourage you to let us know in advance so we can plan a bit but you can also pitch spontaneously on the spot.

  1. Drinking beer, possibly also Pfeffi shots and networking

See you there!

Time: 7 PM - 10 PM
