Schedule

6:30 PM: Doors open. Get some food and drinks before the talks.

7:00 PM: Corresponding React.Components - Jacco Meier (Edenspiekermann)

In this session, Jacco covers Rendering Contentful Models with corresponding React.Components. Server Side Rendering is the current big challenge here along with Pre-fetching the data. During his talk, he tackles both of these challenges and provides insights on how to solve this.

Jacco Meijer is a Tech Director at Edenspiekermann. Responsible for digital product development, his philosophy is that technology shouldn’t be used just to make fancy products and services look pretty: but to make them brilliant, they work, are easy to use, and are effortless to maintain. And with technology constantly improving, all of this only gets better and better each year.

7:30 PM: Markdown, my friend - we have to talk - Stefan Judis (Contentful)

Most people have discovered that WYSIWYG editors are not the best idea when you're dealing with content at scale. Their end format is neither reusable nor portable to other platforms. That said – should we "markdown all the things", or not?

Let's have a look at all the things Markdown is great at, evaluate rough edges and have a look at alternatives.

Stefan is a Frontend Dev and Developer Evangelist at Contentful.

8:00 PM: Hang out and meet other developers working with Contentful
