Save the date for 1. Lecture Series (Level: Intermediate to Advanced)

Details

After our last Meetups - which were focused more on giving an introduction to Machine Learning for the beginner level - we now want to start a new series wich is more focused on the more advanced members of our community.

With this Meetup we are starting a lecture series with talks about AI / Machine Learning in the real world.

The talks in this Meetup will be about:

----

Practical Authorship Analysis

The talk deals with the discipline of authorship verifiction, which concerns itself with the question if two documents were written by the same person.
Among others, it will be explained what "writing style" represents and how its classification differs from classical NLP tasks. In addition, a simple but quite effective authorship verifiction method will be presented.

----

Face recognition and its applications

The talk deals with the topic of face recognition and it's practical usage. It answer the following question:
• How are faces detected, processed and identified?
• What are the practical usage scenarios and which algorithms can be used?
• How can we apply concepts of digital multimedia forensics in face recognition?
