Einführungsvortrag EA / EA - an introductory presentation

Wie können wir nicht nur Gutes tun, sondern möglichst viel Gutes tun?
Was sind eigentlich die dringendsten globalen Probleme?
Wie kann ich mit meinem Leben einen großen positiven Einfluss haben?

Zum Semesterstart organisieren wir einen Vortrag, bei dem wir unsere Antworten auf diese Fragen vorstellen und mit euch darüber ins Gespräch kommen wollen. Wir sind eine Gruppe von Aachener Studierenden, die als Teil einer Community langfristig in unserem Leben möglichst viel Gutes tun wollen. Als Mitglied der weltweiten Effektiver-Altruismus-Bewegung sind wir der Meinung, dass wissenschaftliches Vorgehen und eine rationale Denkweise hervorragend zu einer altruistischen Motivation passen.

How can we not only do good, but do the most good?
What are the most urgent global problems?
How can my life have a great positive influence?

In order to present our answers to these questions and discuss them with you, we’re organizing a presentation at the beginning of this semester. We are a group of Aachen students who - as part of a community - want to do as much good as possible in the long-term. Being a member of the worldwide Effective Altruism movement, we believe that a scientific approach and a rational way of thinking fit perfectly with an altruistic motivation.
