Dear friends,

we would like to announce our second Finfinity meetup which will take place on Thursday, 1st of December at Startplatz (http://www.startplatz.de), im Mediapark 5, 50670 Köln.

We start off with a couple of presentations like during our first event.

The first confirmed presentation will be:

Legal fuckups (1.2) - The FinTech Edition
This presentation deals with the most common mistakes of a fintech startup that appear somewhere between founding a company and getting it through the first financial round. We set the focus on regulatory topics and potential blockers that usually come to light during the first Due Diligence. Apart from highlighting these topics, we will also provide some practical guidance for how this can be avoided.

Speakers:

Björn is an attorney-at-law at WSS Redpoint Rechtsanwälte, where he consults FinTech / InsurTech startups and their investors on regulatory topics and securities law. Further, Björn advises FinTech startups especially on how to structure their business model right, and how to handle administrative procedures at BaFin (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) correctly. He also consults startups on questions related to the founding and financing processes (e.g. business angel, venture capital, crowdinvesting).

Our second presentation will be:

“FinOps as a Service”

While FinTechs are currently receiving high attention from publicity, investors and from the startup scene, many of these organizations focus on great UX and outstanding technology while struggling with understanding banking infrastructure and financial processes. FinOps is offering the processes and understanding of the financial industry to enable FinTechs to move faster and create true value without being distracted from operational aspects of the business.

Speaker:

Thomas Tittelbach, Managing Director of FINDOSO

https://a248.e.akamai.net/secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/2/9/5/2/600_455890578.jpeg

Thomas Tittelbach is an experienced generalist in the payment industry focussing on operational aspects of the business. He believes that only a combined understanding of technical and business aspects will enable FinTechs to succeed. During his career Thomas was holding senior positions with companies such as ClickandBuy and asknet before co-founding different companies in the payment space such as omba and PAYRETO. Currently Thomas is supporting different european FinTechs to optimize and grow their businesses.

We will then continue with the networking part and "beer-to-beer communication".

Feel free to forward this information to Fintech interested people and invite them to the next event!
