Finding the essence. Businesses facilitating knowledge transfer

Details

Startups play an increasing role in facilitating knowledge transfer processes, including the transfer of scientific results into society, businesses, and politics. At our September meetup, we welcome two speakers who both founded knowledge-driven startups. They will talk about their experience of becoming founders as well as their perspective on knowledge transfer and the impact of science:

— "From dissertation to startup to thriving business" – Dr. Robin Tech, founder of AtomLeap, a big data analytics startup based in Berlin. He’s also a researcher at the Berlin Science Center and MIT, Cambridge, and an alumni of HIIG.

— "The challenges and pleasures of creating content businesses" – Sebastian Klein, founder of Blinkist and partner at the think tank TheDive. He is a publisher of the magazine Neue Narrative.

This meetup special is part of the 2018 Impact School which takes place at HIIG from 17–19 September. https://www.leibniz-science20.de/de/impactschool/
