Speaker 01: Francesca Canu, UX Designer at zattoo/Bridge

Talk: The UX team of one in a spinoff of an established company
This talk will be about my experience at Zattoo as the only UX designer of their B2B project, Bridge, a monitoring and analytics platform for our partners.
The advantage to have colleagues to exchange with but the struggle of them not being fully aware of the challenges I am facing.

Francesca is a UX Designer, UI Developer and Coach with several years of experience in Product Development.
Her most meaningful working experiences include RCS Mediagroup (Corriere.it, Gazzetta.it), the business social network XING and the DIY and crafts platform DaWanda.
At the moment she works at Zattoo where she is shaping the future of IP TV.

Speaker 02: Katharina Köth, freelance User Experience Director

Talk: Blinded by Design
The tools and frameworks that we use shape the way we think. Especially, when dealing with deliverables that are focused on simplifying complex issues. They can create blind spots and highlight unnecessary information. Using the example of personas, I will talk about how we can balance creating deliverables for clients and non-designers with frameworks that will actually help the UX process.

Katharina is a freelance UX Director based in Berlin. For the past seven years, she worked at Jung von Matt in Hamburg where she was in charge of designing large-scale platforms, products and services for renowned clients such as Mercedes-Benz, 1&1, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Roland Berger.
