Two talks: SSL/TLS and Public Key Infrastructure

The talk is to split it into two parts:

• SSL/TLS: Secure communication over insecure channels

• High-level overview of SSL/TLS
• Explanation of the handshake
• Overview of different versions
• Some attacks (basic ideas, no details)
• New features in TLS 1.3

• Public key infrastructure (PKI), certificates & X509: An introduction and overview

• Explain terminology & basic idea
• CSR
• Certificates
• (Root-)CA
• Verification

Both talks will be an introduction and will give some overview. I'm happy to answer questions and discuss those topics with the audience.
