Are you interested in learning how to program in Python? Do you want to know more about machine learning, data science and artificial intelligence? Or do you maybe have years of experience with some of these topics and would like to share and extend your knowledge?
We welcome you to join us for our first PyLadies Karlsruhe meetup! PyLadies groups exist around the world and aim to provide a friendly support network for women and a bridge to the larger Python community. In our first session in Karlsruhe, we would like to learn about machine learning together by taking Google’s Machine Learning Crash Course (https://developers.google.com/machine-learning/crash-course). The course is suitable for complete beginners, also if you don’t have programming experience yet. Depending on skill levels we might split into two groups (one beginner and one advanced group).
After the hands-on session we will have the opportunity for networking while enjoying some pizza.

>> What do I need?
If possible, please bring your laptop (otherwise you will have to share with someone else).

>> Gender policy
We believe knowledge is for all and thus anyone with an interest in Python is encouraged to participate. At the same time, our events primarily aim at empowering women in the tech community, therefore we particularly appreciate when non-women attendees come with a female plus one to ensure gender balance.

If you’re interested in speaking at one of our events, have a good idea for a meetup topic or have any questions, please get in touch with us at (karlsruhe@pyladies.com).

>> Code of Conduct
We follow the global PyLadies Code of Conduct (https://www.pyladies.com/CodeOfConduct/) because we are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and harassment-free space and experience for all members and guests, regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, socioeconomic status, body size, ethnicity, nationality, level of experience, age, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment in any form and we prioritise marginalised people’s safety over privileged people’s comfort.
