This talk will cover off subjects relating to HA and load-balancing in linux land. The talk will focus on two technologies in this area, pacemaker(corosync) and keepalived.
Two installations will be covered off during this talk. The first will be a pacemaker suite with DRBD(active/passive). The second will pertain to HA storage using pacemaker and keepalive(active/active) to achieve shared storage for a web cluster.
Then the talk will move onto other barriers in the HA land, like STONITH and QUORUM.
A bit about Julian De Marchi
Julian De Marchi is a linux engineer with over 6 years experience in a range of commercial environments. Julian is currently working as a linux engineer for iseek communications with previous roles at Jeppesen and World Smart Retech.
While Julian is not maintaining servers, he enjoys heavy metal concerts and boating.
