Global Day of Coderetreat

Details
On Saturday, November 18th, 2017, thousands of developers all over the globe will join us to honour our craft, share knowledge, and practice by “playing our instruments behind the scenes” to learn from each other.
What is a coderetreat (http://coderetreat.org/)? Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. The coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement by providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice away from the pressures of 'getting things done.'
If you feel the need to bring the idea of scale- and etude-type practices into development, then join us and have fun!
Preparation
A Coderetreat is meant to be a safe space to learn and explore. We will work in pairs on katas so if possible, bring your laptop with a running IDE, unit test and mocking framework in the programming language of your choice. Also an installed DVCS like Git is recommended.
Agenda
We will open the doors at 8:30am and offer a little breakfast until we will start the program at 9:00am. Lunch, coffee and beverages will be provided, so you will be able to concentrate on coding the whole day. We will have three sessions in the morning and three sessions after lunch. The official programm will end between about 5:00 and 6:00pm.
Code of Conduct
All attendees are required to agree with our code of conduct (https://communitycodeofconduct.com/). We expect cooperation from everyone to help ensure a safe environment for everybody, and organizers will enforce it if necessary. Should you need help, organizers will be available for contact throughout the event.
Be there or be square!
