Governance in the Digital Age & the Role of Blockchain

Details
Digitization and the rapid advancement of new technologies heavily challenge and change current processes of our daily lives. This ultimately affects the way we interact, make decisions and live together – hence the governance (private & public) of the numerous institutions, platforms and collectives we are a part of.
Blockchain technology offers the opportunity to rethink processes and make them more effective, but at the same time this new technology entails risks and challenges that need to be overcome.
We are addressing the question of how governance and blockchain fit together, which processes it can influence and which hurdles (e.g. legally) still exist.
Interactive meetup:
We visited a lot of meetups in the recent years and we realized, that a lot of them struggle to balance the various interests, expectations and backgrounds of their audiences. That’s why we came up with a new, interactive concept for this meetup.
We will start with four 15-minute fireside presentations by our speakers. Afterwards, you (the audience) can choose the topic/speaker that interests you the most and join one of the deep-dive groups in order to ask specific questions and engage in in-depth discussions. Last but not least we will have a panel with the speakers to recap their deep-dive groups and discuss critical questions.
Further Information:
Please be aware that we are going to film the event for a short promo-video as well as a video of the presentations and the panel discussion. If you do not want to be in the video, please let us know at the beginning of the event.
Special thanks to the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) for providing the venue as well as the Landeshauptstadt München for sponsoring the event. Your support is highly appreciated!
