We wanna revitalize the Swiss VMware Community !
With this first meetup, we wanna restart the VMUG in the german speaking parts of Switzerland and kindly invite you to join our journey. You'll get interesting insights in whats going on in the community, in technology and solutions. And if you have something to speak about, let us know if you're interested to become a speaker to talk about the topic probably on one of the next events!
• vROPS bits & bobs
This talk will cover the bits & bobs about vROps. We'll look into Integration-possibilities of vROps. How you can work with Custom Groupings, Applications or Alertings. And what the newest features are when it comes to Actions, Predictive DRS or the new vROPS API.
From an early age I started to tinker with electronics and computers (c64!!). My professional career kicked off at the age of 18 when I started working on physical server/desktop for a large bank. In the early days of VMware / ESX I was instantly hooked, starting off with provisioning / automation and later moved in to capacity and performance management of VMware. I like to automate everything I can, to find the needle in virtual haystack and help/teach anyone I can in the process!
• Tales from Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for VMware vRealize Suite
We are working in large and distributed teams with the vRealize Suite and like to share the experiences we have made with this tool chain especially when it comes to their CI/CD capabilities. We want to show the highlights as well as the lowlights and conclude with our propositions and wishes what we expect from the product in the future.
Daniele Ulrich is passionate about software engineering and has been working as a JEE developer and architect of distributed systems and automated testing. We recommend using the parking „Parkhaus Hauptbahnhof Sihlquai“ (Sihlquai 41, 8005 Zürich / Google Maps (https://goo.gl/maps/tQgjcFU7g8s)). It’s only about 200 Meters from our meeting location. More information about parking is available here (parkingzuerich.ch) (https://parkingzuerich.ch/).
We like to thank our partners for making this meeting possible. We’re hosted at Digicomp, a Swiss provider for all kinds of IT related trainings and certifications. We are pleased to have Swisscom Enterprise aboard which is represented by a competent speaker. Also a thank you to Edgard Carvalho, one of our freelance speakers with indepth knowledge about vRops and many other technologies. And last but not least a great thank you to VMware which takes care of the catering.
