Hallo agiLEisten,

diesmal #fokus auf ein Thema: Objectives & Key Results (OKR).

Was ist OKR? OKR wurde mit Google Ventures populär und ist inzwischen neben Scrum und Kanban ein zunehmend populäres Agiles Framework.*
Sehr erfolgreiche Start-ups nutzen es und geben es oft wieder auf. Zahlreiche etablierte Firmen beißen sich die Zähen daran aus. Bei anderen ist es Beginn eines tiefgreifenden Kulturwandels. Potential für ein spannendes Meetup nur zu diesem Thema, dachten wir uns.

Wir sind bei TomTomTelematics. Dort werden OKR seit Beginn diesen Jahres in der SW-Entwicklung eingesetzt. Einige unserer treuesten Teilnehmer beginnen gerade die Reise, andere mussten sie per Chefentscheid beenden. Wir versuchen möglichst viel Praxiserfahrung da zu haben und planen mit OKR-erfahrenen Co-Moderatoren zu arbeiten.

*Ja, Kanban ist eine Methode und kein Framework (und Dave Snowden kann auch erklären, warum Scrum kein Framework ist) und ja, in der Softwareentwicklung geht ohne XP nicht einmal Scrum, aber das ist eine andere Diskussion ;)

This time we #fokus on one topic: Objectives & Key Results (OKR).

What are OKR? OKR was made popular by Google Ventures and actually is a third agile framework of growing popularity next to Scrum and Kanban.*
Very successful start-ups use it and many of them stop using it after a while. Many established companies find it a hard nut to crack while for others its the start of a profound cultural shift.
Enough potential for an exciting meetup - that's what we thought.

Our host will be TomTomTelematics (TTT), again. TTT use OKR for their software development department since the beginning of 2018.
Some of our regulars just start the journey, others where forced by HIPPO decisions to stop it.
We'll try to get as much practical experience in the room as possible - and to have some OKR-experienced co-facilitators on board.

*Yes, Kanban isa methode and not a framework (and Dave Snowden is able to explain, why even Scrum isn't a framework) and yes, in software development Scrum doesn'teven work without XP - but that's another diskussion ;)
