LEUträff#6 w/Una Wang: How do Web3 and Communities benefit from each other?
Details
For our first LEUträff #6 after the summer, blockchain expert Hongyang (Una) Wang will give us insights about how blockchain could provide a digital infrastructure for global common resources and at the same time community-based initiatives.
Introducing how decentralized technologies and localized communities can benefit from each other. (No previous knowledge required.) Well aware that without these systems and technologies, the Leu, Encointer and the community-issued income could not exist. After Wang's talk, we will have a Q&A session with her and Malik El-Bay (Leu/Encointer) to discuss questions, criticism, and insights about Leu. (Language: English)
Before Una Wang's Talk, we will update you on Leu. We will explain and introduce Zürich's currency and share the most recent developments and progresses of Leu and the Leu Team. Like always, it will also be possible to buy Leu directly on-site and spend it at the bar.
Una Wang is the lead researcher on no1s1, a self-owning house based on blockchain. She is a PhD Candidate (ETH Zurich) at Chair of Innovative and Industrial Construction; focusing on decentralization in the built environment. Her research topics and expertise lies with decentralised ledger technology (Blockchain and smart contracts), decentralized autonomous organisations, cyber-physical systems, digital twin, sustainable architecture and smart city.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
