❄ Winter Hike Offensee & Himmelsteinkogel

Hi, everyone!

🕐 Meeting Point:
10:30 at Linz Main Train Station (Linz Hbf) – we'll be carpooling from there (please sound off in the comments if you need a ride or you can offer a ride).

🚶‍♂️ Start of the Hike:
Around 11:45 at Parkplatz Offensee:

🚙 Journey by car:

• 10:30 Meeting at Linz Hbf (outside at the main entrance where the cars pickup/drop-off zone is)
• 11:45 Arrive at Parkplatz Offensee
• 👞 Hike (aprox. 12km, 600m, 4-5 hours total)
• Attempt to hike to Himmelsteinkogel - we'll decide based on the conditions: https://www.komoot.com/tour/2783959986
• 17:15 Leave from the hike and drive back to Linz
• 18:30 Be back in Linz

🚉 Journey by train/bus:

• Possible to Ebensee
• Please plan it yourself

✅ Checklist:

• wear sturdy, comfortable & warm hiking shoes;
• wear weather-appropriate clothing (temps between -5 and 0 C);
• bring snacks & water for the trip;
• very important to stay warm: tick socks, hat, scarf, gloves
